Bible Study Group
Reverend Laura offers Thematic Bible Studies over the Zoom platform on Thursdays during Advent. (December 5, 12, and 19 at 6:00 pm) We meet for one hour to discuss a passage from the Gospels. The classes are intergenerational and affirming of all people.
Anyone can join anytime by contacting the church office and providing an email address. Each session includes reading a Bible passage, exploring its historical context, considering its relationship to our lives, and choosing an invitation for a weekly spiritual journey. Classes are spiritually alive and inclusive, and everyone belongs no matter where they live or what they believe. You don't have to have experience studying the Bible, and you can drop in for any week, regularly or occasionally.
Book Study Group
On October 17 at 6:00 pm via Zoom, Rev. Laura will lead a book discussion on "The Women" by Kristen Hannah. This conversation is open to anyone whether you attend worship or are a friend of someone connected to Brookside. Reading the book ahead of time is helpful but not a requirement.
Rev. Laura..."I am very excited about this book which focuses on three nurses serving in the military during the Vietnam War. Bring your experiences and those of others you know to this lively book group. Hope to see you there."
To register for the Zoom meeting, please send your name and email address to the office.
